I saw a doll dangling on a railway’s platform

I saw a doll on strings dangling on a railway’s platform
Bystanders, commuters, and passersby clapped their hands instead of throwing coins
down
They were astonished at the puppet’s dangle
A puppeteer held his puppet by the strings in sadness
A man came and nudged me on the shoulder
I turned around to look at him
He pointed under my stool
There was a lip gloss lying still
It was certainly not mine
I had pushed it under my stool because no one seated next to me
Had someone sat next to me
I would have asked them if it was not theirs
It is not mine
I replied looking the man in the face
He seemed shocked at my reply and shook his head on his departure from my sight
He walked straight at the turf where the puppeteer operated
He threw half a dollar on the platform as he approached the puppeteer
A cloud of excitement engulfed the crowd
The puppeteer wished to make more money and unveiled another puppet
It was a girl puppet
It joined the boy puppet who had been dangling alone for some time
After some time half a dollar was not enough for the puppeteer
He felt robbed and joked that the kids will be going to school the following year
Where do you think that they are going to get school uniform from
The train arrived and stopped
I volunteered to carry his kids inside the carriage
He was happy because he had to carry the tape
I asked him to dance them inside the carriage’s floor
There is no enough space in here
He reasoned
I joked that recession was affecting his kids
He and the commuters laughed at my silly joke
