Beautiful Brown-Eyed Girl

I thought I’d write a poem for you today
But so much came into my head to say.
I could write a book
But that effort I’ll decline
I’ll try to capture you in just a few lines.

Handsome and tall,
You’ve got it all.
Thick black hair, bonny brown eyes,
A dimpled smile that’s open and wide.

Your cloth is woven with a thread of gold,
Powerful, wise, bright and bold
Strong and fluid as a Lioness
And yet gentle and tender in caress.

Brave heart and head held high;
Truthful, a clear conscience, with nothing to hide.
Energy in your journey,
Undefeated by adversity.

A Leo child with fire in your sign,
Warm and compassionate,
Able to share and always to shine.
Success is assured, just follow your star -
Lioness of the Savannahs you truly are.
